To cater to this trend, Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo have compiled their first-ever "set-jetting" forecast predicting entertainment-inspired destinations travellers will head to in 2024 based on upcoming show and film releases and travel data, which includes:

• Thailand inspired by "The White Lotus" season 3

• Paris inspired by "Emily in Paris" season 4

• Scottish Highlands inspired by the remaining seasons of "Outlander'"

• London, Bath and Windsor, UK are also popular destinations for travelers inspired by the new season of "Bridgerton" and "The Crown" season 6

• Malta is the place to go for those inspired by the "Gladiator 2" film

• Korea draws travelers with "Squid Game" season 2

• Romania is a popular destination for those inspired by "Wednesday" season 2
